About Oologah, OK - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Oologah, OK is a lovely community with a lot of character and charm. It is a nice place to raise kids and a lovely hometown for people who enjoy a slow pace of life. People are always out and about. Kids can be seen riding bikes in the summer and bundled up in the winter. The general ambiance is welcoming and serene. It is hard to believe such a quaint town produced one of the biggest personalities in all of American entertainment history.

Oologah is likely best known as the hometown of American icon, "Will" Rogers. The actor, vaudeville performer, American cowboy, humorist, newspaper columnist, and social commentator was born of mixed race. However, Rogers and his parents identified as Cherokee. He is accepted as "Oklahoma's Favorite Son” and he traveled around the planet three times. Throughout his lifetime, the talented star made 71 films and authored thousands of nationally syndicated newspaper columns. Prior to his passing away, his home state commissioned a statue of him. It was intended to be displayed in the National Statuary Hall Collection of the United States Capitol. In true form, Rogers approved only if his image was placed facing the House Chamber. He said he wanted to keep an eye on Congress. Each US president rubs the left shoe of the Rogers sculpture for luck previous to entering the House Chamber to present the State of the Union address.

History is everywhere in this region of Oklahoma. The nearby town of Bartlesville has a large arts complex that is perfect for the wintertime when the kids are antsy or when visitors come for the holidays. The Price Tower Arts Center was founded in 1985 as a civic art museum and includes a museum, tours of the historic tower, an inn and an eatery. Collections contain:

  • modern art
  • works on paper
  • furniture
  • textiles and design
  • significant pieces by Frank Lloyd Wright and renowned Oklahoma architect Bruce Goff
